Some of us like to think we are “unique”---we, being defined as human beings inhabiting a planet we call, Earth. Others thrive on UFOs. As Sgt. Friday would say in Dragnet, “All we want are the facts, ma'am" and "All we know are the facts, ma'am” (As an aside did you know that Jack Webb, aka Sgt. Friday never said the famous line, “Just the facts, ma’am, just the facts”? True! Check out Wikipedia. Those words were uttered by Stan Freberg in the parody St. George and the Dragonet.). The evidence suggests that there are other Earth-like planets circling other stars. Right now, we don’t have the technology to definitely call this a fact; however, it follows the logic of “If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck…”
The article below is about the possibility of “super Earths” that likely exist:

Now, why am I blogging about this? I want to reinforce that huge gains have been made by voyages into Space---gains way beyond the ubiquitous mention of the creation of “Tang.” Check out NASA’s site for a plethora of benefits (wow, ubiquitous and plethora in one sentence!!! Does that qualify me for the Multi-syllabic Writer’s Guild?):

SpaceShip 2, the VSS Enterprise, is a first step into the realm of consumer Space tourism, commerce, and exploration. Imagine what exciting discoveries lie before us!
